Stop Over Analysing your Fitness Plan and Just Start Now

March 3rd, 2009

Countless pages of data have been written over of the web, seen on the television and in the local bookstore about exercise and fitness training. You don’t need to spend long to quickly have a firm grip about what matters, especially with fitness training, so don’t over think it.

So many people don’t ever get started because they don’t think they know which method is best. Don’t let this happen to you. The most important thing is to start right now. Get your heart rate up and keep it going for a duration of time.

Your body can’t tell the difference between one machine and another. It really doesn’t matter anyway. All that matters is that you are getting into the shape you desire and losing body fat, building muscle, getting more healthy and feeling better about yourself.

Don’t get drawn into the arguments about which exercise regimen is better. What matters most is that you are moving toward your goals.

Fitness Overload Principle

February 15th, 2009

Fitness and exercise must be done at a higher level than usual to bring physique transformations.  Once your body has adapted to the higher level of exercise or weight it will function more effectively and efficiently.  The overload can be obtained by manipulating various combinations of exercise frequency, intensity, duration and type of exercise.

Increasing intensity, duration and frequency can be helpful for running, cycling or swimming, and increasing resistance and repetitions can improve strength training or build muscle mass.
