They already have a good, clean diet of protein, carbs and fat. They drink adequate water and they workout with weights, while also performing cardio on a regular basis. Why exercise makes you leaner

Every time you eat, your body produces heat. The heat accelerates your metabolism as it’s breaking down your food.
